About Us
CCH has been a Melbourne fighting game community (FGC) institution since 2010. We're a local meetup running on the second and fourth Saturday of every month. We gather with our setups and play casuals and tournaments all day, we'll hang out and grab food, then finish up with more casuals.
The purpose of CCH is to provide a inexpensive and friendly space where the local FGC can gather without worry, eSport agendas, or corporate constraints. The door fee at CCH is set to just be enough to cover the booking fees of the venue. Any excess is used for catering at the final CCH held in December at Djerring each year.
A financial report with all intake/expenditure figures is released publicly every year.
Our Story
CCH was founded by Collingwood resident, and the inventor of the crossup-tatsu, Chris Dang. Originally named Collingwood Club House, CCH has been known as Chris’ Club House for years now as a homage to its original founder who saw the need in the community for a casual console meetup, due to the the divide between 'vanilla' SF4 on console and arcade editions.

Muttons took over the reins in February 2011 from Chris, who retired from the FGC in 2011 to be a family man. Together with Ali "X" Abdo, and reliable dudes like Andrew “Vitriol” Pettigrew, Daniel “Spoony” Finegan, Kevin "Burnout" Kim, and Peter “Syntax” Evans we ran CCH for a few years before we decided to shut CCH down in August 2012 to support the opening of Shadowlogic over in Footscray.
CCH returned in 2014, and survived the shift between Street Fighter 4 and Street Fighter V. While a lot of OGs faded away during this time, the anime scene kept growing strong with Guilty Gear, UNIST, and Dragonball FighterZ. In 2022, with SF6 and Tekken 8 around the corner, many old faces returned to the scene. We also gained new management in this time, with Martyken and Rupps stepping up to help run the show.
​Here we are in 2024 with new staff like Ted, Big Keith, Rowdy, Lightningflare, Dan, Jackie and Felix. We have a new bigger venue with the Djerring Centre thanks to an annual grant from Yarra Council.
We've seen entire generations of games, great players, and event organisers grow up through the years. We are proud of our Melbourne fighting game community and hope to see even more people step up. CCH is a safe space for players of all ages and backgrounds. Newcomers, OGs, online warriors, anyone who loves fighting games is welcome!
